Day 6 of the cabbage soup diet was beef & vegetables. This was the day I blew it. I had chicken (which is allowed in place of beef) with veggies, smothered in cheese. That wouldn't have been so bad if that had been my only mess-up. Later that day, I had a mocha lite frappucino & espresso fudge brownie. Oops! When I weighed the next day, however, I had lost 5.5 pounds. Day 7 was supposed to be brown rice & veggies. I messed up again by having a sandwich for lunch. Eating a sandwich was quite difficult with only one hand. (if you're not familiar with the incident that left me one-handed, see my "Stupid Oysters Shells" post.) I did okay for the rest of the day. I think my total weight loss was about 4-5 pounds. Not too bad, but not exactly what I hoped for. The main thing is that I think I'll be able to alter my eating habits because of this diet. I'll eat a lot more vegetables & cut back on my carbs. I think I'll also be able to cut back on sodas. Overall, I guess that's what counts.
Yesterday was Day 4. I ate bananas & skim milk, along with my soup. Not as bad as I thought today. Today was Day 5 & I had beef & tomatoes! Yippee! Only 2 more days to go! Not much weight coming off yet, but maybe it will soon!
