How do I love Entralac? Let me count the ways...

At long last I got The Luckiest bag pattern from designer and friend KateyJ, and cast on.  Like many projects, I wasn't sure how well I was doing for a while.  The problems started, umm, pretty much immediately.  First rectangle.....no problem.  But then I had to use Backward Loop cast on for the 2nd rectangle.  This is when it came in handy to know the designer--I sent her an email.  Thank goodness, because I DO NOT want to describe my version of that portion of the instructions.  Let's just say it was a far cry from what it should have been!

The first tier was a little squirrely and hard to manage on the circular, especially because I'm using a slippery Addi Turbo.  But then I got throught the second tier and things started to have a bit more shape.

Here's how far I've gotten...

The bag pattern comes in two sizes, and I REALLY wanted to make the larger one.  But I already had two skeins of Patons Classic Merion, and need to keep expenses to a minimum until I start working again, so I'm making the smaller one, since that only required one additional skein.

This is my first time doing entralac, and it is SO interesting to me.  I love, love, love how cool it is to pick up stitches and make the rectangles join, how the rows go in different directions, and how it fits together like a puzzle.  Very fun!

In a crazy way, I will probably always associate this bag with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.  Although I am emphatically NOT a fan of wrestling, or bodybuilders, I've enjoyed his movies.  In the two evenings I've sat on the couch working on this bag, there's been a strange coincidence of The Rock movies on TV.  First "The Mummy Returns" and "The Scorpion King", and then "Walking Tall."  Honestly, curling up on the couch looking at The Rock while knitting on my awesome entralac bag.....there are worse things!
