Snow Day

 Kinda purrtty, ain't it?!  That's my friend Cara's American Eskimo, Quincy, checking out the view.  He seemed to have mixed feelings about it.  That is, until we went outside on the back deck.  Then he decided that the white puffy stuff was mighty tasty!

My friend lives near a hiking trail, one I frequent when I stay at her house.  When it comes to exercise, I live to be outside, not in a gym....I'm a walker.  So of course I wanted to check out what the woodsy trail looked like dusted with snow.  So I piled on the layers, slipped my little camera in my pocket, and took off.  Despite the cold and the slippery road conditions, I wasn't the only one there--in fact, there were quite a few people out enjoying the wintry scene.

 The trail area can look a little limp during the winter months, but frosted with snow it looked enchanting to me.

It was beautiful, and I really enjoyed myself, but I'm glad I don't live in a geography where I have to deal with this all the time.  It was COLD!!!
